When I went to Paris last spring for a job interview, I hadn't been there for five years. I arrived the evening before the interview, and spent a happy hour walking round thinking about the good times I had had there as a student.
As I was strolling by the Seine, I suddenly saw a familiar face - it was Nedjima, the woman I had shared a flat with when I was a student, and whose address I had lost after leaving Paris. I could tell she hadn't seen me, so I called her name and she looked up. As she turned towards me, I realized that she had an ugly scar on the side of her face. She saw the shock in my eyes, and her hand went up to touch the scar; she explained that she had gotten it whebn she was a journalist reporting on a war in Africa.

Three robbers went into the bank and they were carrying guns. A big car was waiting on the other side of the street and the driver was a woman. A man in an old jacket was standing on the corner and some men were repairing the road. Two children were waiting at the bus stop.
